Mr. Abdelkrim Bouzred officially took office as Minister of Finance, this Monday, February 3, 2025, succeeding to Mr. Laaziz Faid, during a handover ceremony held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance, in the presence of the Directors General and executives of the ministry.
On this occasion, Mr. Bouzred expressed his deep gratitude to the President of the Republic for the trust granted by appointing him at the head of this strategic sector. He reaffirmed his commitment to work with dedication and determination in order to continue the ongoing dynamics and achieve the objectives set for the development of the sector and the improvement of its performance.
The new minister also said he wished to thank his predecessor, Mr. Laaziz Faid, for the efforts made during his term at the head of the ministry.
For his part, Mr. Faid congratulated Mr. Bouzred on his appointment.
It should be noted that Mr. Bouzred has held several senior positions in the past, notably that of Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance and Director General for Treasury and Accountancy.
