Responsibilities
In accordance with Executive Decree No. 95-54 dated on February 15,1995, the Minister of Finance proposes the elements of national financial policy and ensures their implementation, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
Executive Decree No. 95-54 setting out the responsibilities of the Minister of Finance stipulates that « The Minister of Finance exercises his powers in the following areas:
1 - Public Finance:
- Taxes and Fees,
- Customs,
- National Assets and Land Affairs,
- Public Expenses, the Budget and Public Accountancy,
2 – Finance.
3 - Savings, Credit and Economic Insurance.
4 - Resources of the Public Treasury.
5 - Financial interventions of the State.
6 - National policy on External Debt.
7 – Control of the Exchange.
8 - Financial control on the use of the state budget and resources of Treasury appropriations.
9 - External Economic and Financial relations ».
